Steven L. Almany, M.D., F.A.C.C. is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and its subspecialty board of Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. He is a graduate of Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine. Dr. Almany completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiology fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital- Royal Oak. During this time, he served for one year each as Chief Medical Resident, Chief Cardiology Fellow, and Chief Interventional Fellow.

Dr. Almany is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is a member of the Oakland County Medical Society, Michigan State Medical Society, and the American Heart Association. Dr. Almany has lectured on both local and national levels. In addition, he is listed as a Lecturer in the University of Michigan Business Schools directory. He has written extensively, including many book chapters in the field of cardiology. He holds two patents on cardiovascular medical devices. He is on the Medical Advisory Board of several corporations involved in cardiovascular care.

Dr. Almany is active in the physician training programs and holds the academic appointment of Associate Professor at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. He is the Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab and the Director of the Structural Heart Clinic at William Beaumont Hospital-Troy. He is on staff at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and Troy. Steven C. Ajluni, M.D. F.A.C.C. is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and its subspecialty board of Cardiovascular Disease. A graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Dr. Ajluni completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor. He then completed a cardiology fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital-Royal Oak, where he served as Chief Cardiology Fellow and Chief Interventional Fellow.

Dr. Ajluni is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is a member of the Oakland County Medical Society, Michigan State Medical Society, and the American Heart Association. Terry R. Bowers, M.D., F.A.C.C., F.S.V.M. is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and its subspecialty board of Cardiovascular Disease. A graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School, Dr. Bowers completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Minnesota Hospitals in Minneapolis. He completed his cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital- Royal Oak, where he served as Chief Cardiology Fellow in his last year. In addition, he completed a peripheral interventional and vascular medicine fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio.

Dr. Bowers is a fellow of both the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Vascular Medicine and Biology. He is a member of the Oakland County Medical Society, Michigan State Medical Society, and the American Heart Association.

Active in cardiology research, Dr. Bowers has made national presentations and has been widely published in medical literature. He is the Director of Vascular Medicine, Beaumont Hospitals and holds the academic appointment of Assistant Professor at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. Dr. Cragg served as Chief of Cardiovascular Services at William Beaumont Hospital-Troy from 1992–1999 and is now Director of Cardiac Research at Beaumont-Troy. He holds the academic appointment of Associate Professor at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. Dr. Cragg is on staff at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and Troy. William H. Devlin, M.D., F.A.C.C. is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and its subspecialty board of Cardiovascular Disease. A graduate of the Memorial University of Newfoundland in Canada, Dr. Devlin obtained his undergraduate degree as a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University in Oxford, England. He completed his residency in internal medicine at William Beaumont Hospital- Royal Oak, where he was Chief Medical Resident for one year. He then completed a cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Dr. Devlin is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is a member of the American Heart Association, the Oakland County Medical Society, and the Michigan State Medical Society. He is currently the Medical Director of the Cardiac Care Unit at William Beaumont Hospital-Troy and holds the academic appointment of Assistant Professor at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. Michael J. Gallagher, M.D., F.A.C.C. is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and its subspecialty board of Cardiovascular Disease. He is also certified by the National Board of Echocardiography and the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and is a graduate of Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine. Dr. Gallagher completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Michigan State University’s Grand Rapids campus and his Clinical Cardiology Fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital-Royal Oak, where he served for one year as Chief Cardiology Fellow. He completed one additional year of advanced training in Cardiovascular MRI/CT imaging at William Beaumont Hospital-Royal Oak.

Dr. Gallagher is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is a member of the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, the Michigan State Medical Society, and the Oakland County Medical Society. Akhil Gulati, M.D., F.A.C.C., is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine, as well as being on being a board-certified Diplomate by the National Board of Echocardiography and the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology. He attended Northwestern University for undergrad and received his medical degree from the University of Illinois. Dr. Gulati went on to do his Internal Medicine Residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Illinois and both his Cardiovascular and Interventional Cardiology Fellowships at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center (Tufts University School of Medicine) in Boston.

Dr. Gulati is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is a member of the American Society of Echocardiography, American College of Physicians and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He is on staff at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and Troy. Dr. Gulati practices at Michigan Heart- Troy and Novi.

Ilana B. Kutinsky, D.O., F.A.C.C. is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and its subspecialty board of Cardiovascular Disease and Cardiac Electrophysiology. A graduate of Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, Dr. Kutinsky completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, CO. She then completed a Cardiology Fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine and Electrophysiology at the University of Colorado Health Science Center in Denver, CO. Dr. Kutinsky was an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Colorado prior to coming home to Michigan.

Dr. Kutinsky is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. She is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, American Osteopathic Association, American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. She holds the academic appointment of Associate Professor at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine and is on staff at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and Troy. Brian D. Williamson, M.D., F.A.C.C. is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and its subspecialty board of Cardiovascular Disease and Cardiac Electrophysiology. Dr. Williamson graduated summa cum laude from Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Michigan Hospitals, Ann Arbor, where he served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. In addition, Dr. Williamson completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine and Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Michigan Hospitals, Ann Arbor.

Dr. Williamson is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society, the American Heart Association, the Oakland County Medical Society and the Michigan State Medical Society.

Dr. Williamson is the Director of the Pacemaker Clinic at William Beaumont Hospital-Troy and holds the academic appointment of Associate Professor at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. He is on staff at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and Troy and practices at Michigan Heart Rhythm Group.

Michelle Forcina, P.A.-C.
Physician Assistant

Michelle joined Michigan Heart Group in October 2012.  Michelle received her Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Philadelphia University and is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA).  She came to us with a background in Cardiac Electrophysiology.  Michelle has worked primarily with Electrophysiologist and Device Clinics for most of her career. She is office based and sees patients at Michigan Heart Rhythm Group three days a week. Michelle works closely with our device specialist as well as Drs. Cragg, Williamson, and Kutinsky.

Debby Goodall A.P.R.N, A.N.P.-B.C.
Nurse Practitioner

Debby joined Michigan Heart Group in September 2007. Debby started at Michigan State for undergrad and then continued her education at Oakland University, completing her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and then going on to get a Masters for Adult and Gerontological Nurse Practitioner. She has worked in some form of Cardiology for the past 15 years. Debby’s focus is on nutrition and eating the right types of foods. She sees patients once a week at Michigan Heart Group- Troy.

Sarah Levin, R.N., N.P., M.S.N.
Nurse Practitioner

She is a Board Certified Adult-Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Sarah completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Michigan State University and her Masters of Science in Nursing at the University of Michigan. She started at Michigan Heart Group in May 2014.

Sarah sees patients at Michigan Heart Group- Troy and also rounds at William Beaumont Hospital-Troy and Royal Oak.

Anita M. Juriga APRN, MSN
Nurse Practitioner

Anita JurigaAnita joined Michigan Heart Group in October 1995. She went to Michigan for her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and continued on at Oakland for her Masters. Anita is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. She sees patients 3 days a week at Michigan Heart Group. Anita also rounds at William Beaumont Hospital-Troy.

Mariann Graham RN, BSN
Registered Nurse

Mariann joined Michigan Heart Group in March 1997, and we are thankful she did. Mariann has a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Detroit Mercy; she has over 25 years of Cardiac Care experience and is the pulse of the Michigan Heart Group team. She is the Director of the Physician Extenders, Medical Assistants and Nursing. She keeps clinical operations running smoothly. You may see Mariann at either of the hospitals assisting with rounding on patients or she will be at the main campus assisting with patients either on the telephone or leading staff as necessary.

Amy Douglas, C.C.D.S.
Device Specialist

Amy Douglas received her Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University and has worked as an Exercise Physiologist for Michigan Heart Group since September of 2000. In September of 2007, Amy expanded her role at Michigan Heart Group and went to work as a Device Specialist. She assists the physicians by checking patients’ pacemakers and ICDs (Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator). She is certified as a cardiac device specialist by the IBHRE.

Sean Keegan
Device Specialist

Sean joined the practice in May 2015. He received his Associates in Applied Science from Sienna Heights University. He completed the pacemaker/ICD (Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator) technician program at Carnegie Institute. He assists the physicians by checking patients’ pacemakers and ICD’s.

Kristy Kazmierczak, NP
Nurse Practitioner

Kristy joined Michigan Heart Group in August 2017.  Kristy earned her Bachelor of Science from Central Michigan University and her Master of Science as a Physician Assistant from the University of Detroit Mercy.  She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA).  Kristy sees patients two days a week at Michigan Heart Group.  She also rounds at William Beaumont Hospitals- Troy and Royal Oak.

Lisa joined Michigan Heart Group in April 2017. Lisa received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Madonna University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Oakland University. She is board certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Lisa sees patients two days a week at Michigan Heart Group.
